TPDC is a tax exempt not for profit community day camp in Twilight Park, Haines Falls NY. We provide a caring and nurturing environment with age appropriate mixture of swimming, tennis, pickleball, games, sports, field trips, kayaking, arts & crafts, yoga and music with a special emphasis on nature, hiking and overnight camping. Our Leaders In Training and Counselor in Training programs adds more independent and adventurous activities. Supervision is provided by experienced adult educators and professionals supplemented with teen counselors.
Our Campers and Teen Programs are for ages 3 to 15. Some spaces in the camp are reserved for Twilight Park residents, renters and house guests.
Full Day programs are from 9 am to 3 pm and Half Day is 9 am to 1 pm.
- Weekly sessions from Jun 30 to August 15, 2025
Age 3 & 4 may register for the half day program (must be potty trained).
Age 5 to 12– may register for the full day camper program.
Age 13 & 14 may register for our Leader in Training program. Age 12 turning 13 in 2025 with Camp Director approval may register for the LIT program.
Age 15 & 16 may register for the Counselor in Training Program. Age 14 turning 15 in 2025 with Camp Director approval may register for the LIT program.This program also requires an application completed by the teen, an interview and a 3 week commitment.Weekly sessions are from June 30 to Aug 15
- Vaccinations – the Camp requires that all campers have age-appropriate vaccinations required for NYS schools and strongly recommends COVID- 19 vaccinations. Twilight Park Day Camp allows exceptions to required vaccinations based upon a medical condition, and does not grant non-medical exemptions.
- Registrations are two week minimun (except with camp director permission and Twilight Park residents). Some teen programs have longer minimums.
- Our Environment- creating a safe, orderly, mutually respectful, caring environment is a top priority and the camp has safety guidelines and behavior expectations. Campers and staff and have expectations appropriate for their age and camp position.

2025 Discounts and Installment Plans$25 per week per camper each for:
Twilight Park Day Camp wants to make going to camp as financially accessible as possible for our camper families. To help we offer Special Discounts to families with less than $125,000 family income or those with other special circumstances or expenses. Special Discounts are normally $50 to $350 per camper per week for up to 4 weeks of camp. There is a fixed amount of Special Discounts allocated for this year and when it is gone this discount will be discontinued for this year. A simple application for this special discount is linked here– please apply early.Installment Plans– that distribute payments over the months between registration and the start of camp. Other payment plans can be arranged for families with different needs.Refund Policy- Full refund of camp fees (minus non refundable deposit ) if canceled two weeks before your child’s camp week.Payments – Full payment is due one month before the start of camp. The camp accepts ACH, e-checks, checks and credit cards, or you can set up an installment plan. A 3% service charge is applied to credit card payments. Programs for Teens
Our Teen Program is a key part of our Day Camp and is geared toward our young teen campers who are ready for the next challenge. It is a progression from a more independent camper to real leadership and job responsibilities.
Leader in Training (LIT) age 13- 14 have demonstrated maturity as a camper and are ready for a more adventurous program. They have more intense hiking, kayaking, and camping experiences, along with a variety of optional activities and their own service projects. A 2 week minimum is required, except for house guests. Age 12 campers turning 13 in 2025, with camp director permission, can be considered for this program.
Counselors in Training (CIT) age 15 & 16 are our future counselors – ready for a program designed to provide them with those skills. They spend part of each day learning how to manage younger campers and also have opportunities to enjoy special camp activities. They have their own mentors and adult leaders. CIT candidates must personally complete an application found on the staff application portal below. Age 14 turning 15 in 2025 can be considered for the CIT program with Camp Director permission. CITs under age 16 must also be registered by their parents in the camper registration portal and pay a registration fee. (The registration fee can be waived with Camp Director permission). A 2 week minimum is required. CITs with qualifying experience or successful completion of training have the opportunity to earn a stipend or a salary.
Counselors / Lifeguards / Instructors age 16 and older can apply for a variety of full and part-time positions. All counselors age 16 must first graduate from the CIT program or have comparable experience.

Twilight Park has a variety of positions ideal for school teachers or other professional that have the summer free, in additon to positions that are great for high school and college students.
Camp Positions with very competive pay are available and can be applied for using the on-line job application portal (see link below). $100 bonus for applying before March 1, 2025 and for refering a friend, $200 bonus for working all 7 weeks of camp.
